Blood Is Blood And Death Is Death

Is this the blood
Of an enemy
Or is it blood
Of one of ours
I do not know
Blood is blood
And death is death

War is fought
At the beckoning
Of those that lead
Nations
And for these shouts
To to kill the other
The young and old
March out
To bleed
To die
To bleed
To kill

But
Blood is blood
And
Death is death
And every enemy
Breaths with human breath
Cries with human tears
And passes
Wishing for comfort
As a child
Wishes
For Mother

Everything dies

Everything dies

Horses die and turn to glue
Chickens die and turn to stew

Mommies die while giving birth
And daddies die while making mirth

Trees will die from rotten roots
While bees will die beneath old boots

Puppies die and turn to dirt
And you will die and it will hurt

Planets die and grow too cold
Even suns die, when they're old

And I promise, though many may deny,
One day the Universe itself will die
