is glorious
yet
it consumes

I want to kiss a beautiful girl
I want to breath in her scent
Let me left hand dance down her spine
as my right hand grips the back
of her neck just just just
firmly enough that she can pull away
but she pulls into me instead
I want to kiss a beautiful girl
I want
A full body kiss.

With slick straight lines
and hard edges
like moving metal
she cuts open my callous
and shows me
the blood beneath

Patchouli and cigarettes
were opium and bile
clinging to her voice,
a rough road covered
in water smooth stones.
Old words were flowing
from her young lips
in this uneasy moment
as she looked away
to leave me me blind
without her to show me
who I am,
where I stand,
and why I weep.
Her questions were a wall
that I fought against
and braced myself against
when fighting the world.
Her love was a storm
that tore down my home
and brought life
to my garden.
